Audrey and Blakely

Hi Girls,
Sorry it is taking a little longer to get your images back. I am (luckily) super busy right now. Here are a few images to tide you over. Give me a few days I and I will have the rest up.

Carribean Cruise Day 1

So I am back from my amazing Caribbean Cruise/ Scott Robert photography workshop and I am still processing everything I learned (no cheesy pun intended :). There is nothing I can say that could really sum up what I feel about these workshop experiences but, here goes..
What an amazing feeling to be able to learn and practice something you love with other people that love it like you do. It is seriously a pleasure to be surrounded by really talented, wonderful people who share the same passion. And Scott Robert Lim (check out his blog www.scottrobertjournal.com) is such a talented speaker/ photographer who has really become a great friend of mine. I feel like a broken record or the president of his fan club but, he is amazing and the people that he attracts to his workshops are amazing. If you have any interest in being a professional photographer you need to take one of his workshops. It will really change how you look at your own photography and take it to a totally different level.
Tune in for more....

Chicago

We just got back from our trip back home for spring break and it was such a blast. It is amazing how homesick you still get at 32 years old. There is no place like Chicago, even in the drizzling rain it is such an amazing place to me. We rented an apartment in Lincoln Park and took the kids to The Shed Aquarium and The Field Museum. I really want them to have an idea of where we grew up. We got to hang out with my family and some old and new friends. It really was such a great time.
I took some pictures of my brother Tripper and his girlfriend Lisa (brunette) and Tripper's college roommate Wil and his fiance Cara (blonde). You guys are awesome. Here they are...

Santiago

I had the opportunity to take pictures of the absolute cutest little baby named Santiago yesterday. He had a big chubby baby belly and huge cheeks with such a sweet and calm disposition. He is the kind of baby that makes you wish for one. His mommy Shannon was also a total delight. I loved meeting them and taking pictures in their home. Here are a couple of pictures from the shoot.

Deep Ellum

My husband was kind enough to let me take his photo last weekend and I can't tell you how much fun we had. Corbett, like most guys, hates sitting in front of the camera but. he was so amazing and supportive. He is the perfect subject because it is almost impossible for him to take a bad picture. I know ladies! But, back it up, he is taken ;)

New Blog, New Year!

Thanks to Junshien's inspiration, here is my new blog. Xanga was a little advanced for me so hopefully this will work better.
Well, it is already January 8th and this years is starting off so busy. I thought I would take a moment and talk about things that I am grateful for.
1. My family (the entire crazy lot of them)
2. My husband for well, everything, as well as getting me my 5D for Christmas (I know, what a stud!)
3. My son Gavin for asking "Why are Moms so warm and snugly?"
4. Old friends and new ones.
5. Referrals from my clients. Thank you!
6. Scott Robert Lim and my friends in his mentorship program. I feel very lucky to be a part of this with all of you.
7. The opportunity to go to Mexico, Costa Rica and Spain this year. I am really going to need to learn Spanish soon!
8. My book club and the book "Eat, Pray, Love" By Elizabeth Gilbert. I love the idea of being a balanced, best version of yourself.
9. The opportunity to follow my dreams as an artist and have my work shown in a gallery.
10. My sweet old dog, Maggie. Who unconditionally loves me even when I get busy and neglect her.
